Inception : 3d?

Jonathan Liebesman, the director of the upcoming sequel to Clash of the Titans, has revealed something quite intriguing about Warner’s post-production 3d conversions.

Warner Brothers showed me how far conversion’s come. You’ve got Chris Nolan doing Inception, converting the DVD, you’ve got Harry Potter being converted, Star Wars being converted, so the conversion process has improved dramatically in the past two years.

Jonathan Liebesman could be wrong, since Nolan HATES 3D and Warner doesn’t have anything to do with Star Wars. But if movies like Clash of the Titans are getting the 3d treatment, Inception would at least make more sense (with the dream world).

The Prescription: Best New DVD releases (12/7/2010)

If you’re wondering what to buy or rent this week, here are the best new DVD releases according to me.

Inception

directed by Christopher Nolan

I find Nolan’s non-Batman movies much more interesting and original. Inception is a marvelous thriller that will challenge your mind till the very last second.

Cronos

directed by Guillermo Del Toro

You probably know who Guillermo Del Toro is if you’ve seen Pan’s Labyrinth. The movie is about a small mechanical device that gives eternal life to it’s owner…and a thirst for blood!

Meet Tom Hardy

If we trust the early reviews for Inception, the british actor Tom Hardy (above) steals the show :

two actors in particular – Gordon-Levitt and Hardy – give performances for which phrases like “star-making turn” were invented.

The biggest surprise in the cast is Hardy, who plays the suave badass of the group

Warning : Too much movie badassery could blow your mind.

It’s great that the new generation of actors is starting to get noticed. DeNiro and Pacino are sadly washed-up and we need new legends.

If you haven’t seen Bronson yet, it’s mendatory! You’ll understand why he was chosen to replace Mel Gibson (aside from the n***** tirade).
