On a test screening card for The Muppets, a 7 year old kid wrote under Things I Do Not Like: Gary’s Face (in other words, Jason Segel’s face).
Disney framed it, sent it to Segel and wrote: To keep you humble.

Target audience:
It’s definitely a family movie and my guess is: if you hate musicals, you probably won’t enjoy this one.
Tone:
It’s light and playful, but it’s normal because it’s a musical!
Value:
The trailer wants to pull a joke on us, but it falls flat. If that’s what to be expected of the human scenes, I’ll be bored out my mind. I do get the fact that they’re trying to make it look like a regular romantic comedy, but it’s still the same movie. Hopefully it will blow our minds. After all, the director did Flight of the Conchords.
Other than that, the trailer says nothing about the story at all. Yes you see Muppets, but they’re not even funny.
How come they can make great viral videos but a boring movie teaser? I don’t get it

According to The Playlist, Bret McKenzie – a member of New Zealand’s 4th most popular folk parody duo – will be acting as music supervisor for the film as well as penning some songs for it.
Pretty cool but I hope Jason Segel does some music for it as well.
