If Candy Land is Lord of the Rings with Candy…

Hollywood, you’ll never cease to amaze me with your stupidity.

If making a movie based on a board game like Candy Land sounds awful, you ain’t seen nothing yet. The screenwriters Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger described their take as “Lord of The Rings, but set in a world of candy…”. Since candy is probably conscidered too girlish, I think they’re adding a fantasy/action element to get a larger audience.

But now, with Batleship being an alien invasion movie and Candy Land as a Lord of the Rings clone, we can see how Hasbro thinks.

Above is an old video I did in 2009 on the subject.

So here’s my pitch for some of their board games. If you wanna hire me as your screenwriter Hasbro, simply contact me. I promise you a screenplay at least as bad as Transformers 2, which in terms of box office power equals 400 millions.

Pictionary

Jimmy is a llittle mute boy who just can’t stop drawing. One day, he discovers that he has a magic pen and everything he draws comes to life.

Guess Who?

Think of it as a family friendly version of Usual Suspects with a twist…one of them is an alien (hire M Night Shyamalan for that)!

The Game of Life

One man plays for his life against death. No, it’s not a remake of Seventh Seal! What makes you think that?

Conscider D.J. Caruso as the director and Shia Labeouf.

You have any other ideas?
