RIP Adam Yauch (aka Nathanial Hörnblowér)
1964-2012
Sadly, Adam Yauch died of cancer today. You may know him as MCA of the Beastie Boys, but he was also involved in filmmaking. He directed most of the music videos of the Beastie Boys and co-founded Oscilloscope Pictures.
Cinema lost a brilliant director.

RIP Kurt Cobain (1967-1994)
Kurt Cobain killed himself 18 years ago. Music pretty much sucks ever since.

Beck did a cover of that song with Jon Brion for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
From the movie Rude Boy.
I love this. A lot!

CHUNGKING EXPRESS
all the leaves are brown
and the sky is grey
I've been for a walk
on a winter's day
I'd be safe and warm
if I was in L.A
California Dreamin'
on such a winter's day
stopped into a church
I passed along the way
well, I got down on my knees
and I pretend to pray
you know the preacher likes the cold
he knows I'm gonna stay
California Dreamin'
on such a winter's day
all the leaves are brown
and the sky is grey
I've been for a walk
on a winter's day
if I didn't tell her
I could leave today
California Dreamin'
on such a winter's day
Everytime I hear this song, I think of Shoshanna.

A great James Bond starts with a bang (quite literally). The opening song is about half the value of the movie itself. We’ve heard memorable gems (McCartney) and absolute garbage too (Madonna).
Now that the production of Bond 23 is starting, we’ll soon hear rumors about musicians. Here are my suggestions to Eon, MGM and Sony.

Their sound screams JAMES BOND! It’s sounds a bit 60’s but also modern, which is exactly what the new James Bond movies are trying to do.
LISTEN TO: The Age of the Understatement (Live)

Blur, Gorillaz…this man’s creativity is amazing! If EON wants something different and hip, Damon Albarn is the man to contact.
LISTEN TO: Song 2

Rumor is that they tried to make the music for a James Bond a while back.
Listen to: Big Boots

This band is so underrated! I can’t imagine something greater than something like Sour Time and a James Bond opening.
